| From as early as I can remember, I have loved God, but I did not hear the gospel or accept Jesus as my Savior until age 15. I graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in secondary English and German education. During my junior year, I studied and worked in West Germany which was a great adventure with the Lord! I met my husband Randy while attending Bible college and we were married five years later in 1980 while working with a youth ministry. One of the greatest joys of our lives has been raising our four children. Lori married Jonathan Barber in 2005 and recently had their first child, Isabella Grace. We are so thankful the Lord protected her and helped her through a very difficult pregnancy! Best of all, we are thrilled they live closer so we can see them more often! It’s great being a grandparent! Landon has been in the Navy for over four years as a Navy Seabee in construction and combat. We are looking forward to him finishing the military and beginning a career possibly as a fireman. Our autistic son Luke is now 20 and remains the sweet-natured, patient guy he has always been. Raising him presents constant challenges, but the Lord helps us overcome every one on a daily basis. Our adopted daughter Ivana will be in high school next year! She loves sports and is constantly growing and learning in many ways. This summer she will go on a youth mission trip to Costa Rica. We are so thankful for God’s wisdom, help, and encouragement to raise our children and bless our marriage. Randy and I have a heart for the family of God and we are thankful He has allowed us to be a part of Victory Church. I have been the Promiseland nursery director for fifteen years. |
