I became a Christian in 1973 at the age of 23. I am a graduate engineer from the University of Missouri at Rolla, and had no plans of going into the ministry, but the Lord had different ideas! In 1974 I realized God was calling me into the ministry. Leaving my engineering job for an uncertain ministry future was a bit scary, but God has faithfully provided. I went to Bible School with a deep hunger for the Word of God, and kept searching the Scriptures to understand and learn more about salvation and what Jesus had done for us. My inquiring engineering mind wanted to understand as much as possible! To this day, my ministry is marked by not only preaching, but teaching to help God's people know Him and understand His ways and how to experience His victory in life. In my early ministry days I was involved in youth ministry, and as my call to pastor became even clearer, then later in helping to found Victory Church in 1983. I have a marvelous wife Mary Jo of 30 years this coming year, and we have 4 children. A married daughter who is an ORU grad who married another ORU grad (they just had our first granddaughter who's now 8 months!), a son who is a Navy Seabee on his way to Afghanistan soon (his arms are as big as my head!), a teenage autistic son who is very special, and an adopted daughter now 15 from Slovakia who is a sportster! Especially basketball. She keeps me young! We love adoption and would go get a few more if we were a tad younger! We like to hike, mountain climb, ski (water or snow!) and scuba dive. We love God's people, His church, and we love seeing people find the joy of coming to know Christ!
