I was raised in St. Charles, Missouri and married my wife Patty, in July of 1967. Four weeks later I went to Vietnam, serving 1 year there. When I returned I studied business at the University of Missouri in St. Louis and eventually owned my own car business. I became a Christian on Easter of 1975. I had been raised in a nonreligious family, and I first saw the love of Jesus Christ through my wife who came to know Him before I did. When I saw the change that God made in her life, I made Jesus the Lord of my life! After a few years I was called into music ministry and cut my first Christian Contemporary album in 1977. Shortly after this I sold my business and began to work in a Christian rehab ministry. In 1983 Patty and I joined Randy and Mary Jo Starkey in starting Victory Church. Over the next six years as the church grew the Lord began to direct me toward reaching out to the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. As the Lord led, in 1989 I began short-term mission trips to take the Gospel to the nations. This ministry has grown to become Victory Throughout the World, an apostolic outreach to take the Good News of Jesus to the whole world as the mission arm of Victory Church. My wife, Patty, and I have a son, a daughter and two grandsons. My hobbies include golf, movies and lots of travel!
