At Victory Church every member is important. Just as in our human body we need all our "parts" or "members" functioning properly, so it is in the Body of Christ - every part, every member, is vital. Each of us has a role to play.  Just as in your own natural family each person has a role to play, or on a football team each person has a position to play, or in an army each soldier has a duty to perform, so it is with God's people, none of us are just spectators, but we have a vital part to play. This is often called our "ministry", somewhere we can serve God. In the Body of Christ we might be a hand, a foot, and ear, or some hidden unseen organ (just as important!), but the key is for each of us to find that spot where we can use our natural and spiritual gifts and talents to help build up God's family and God's Kingdom.

It may take a few tries to find the place you really fit, but that's OK. You are never in a ministry at Victory for longer than you want - you can get out if you like and try something different! The main thing is to step out and try something! God can't guide a ship sitting still! We will never be truly happy or fulfilled if we are just a "pew warmer". It's only as we give ourselves to a cause larger than ourselves that our lives take on real meaning.
