Welcome to the all-new Victory Church worship team song suggestion board!
This was created for anyone on the worship team to upload songs that they think are good potential songs for weekend praise and worship. Anyone on the worship team can listen to any of the songs that have been uploaded. There is also a discussion forum so all can discuss the potential songs and give their thoughts.
Here are a few usage rules before you dive in!
1) Do not rename or try to mess with the uploaded songs in any way.
Only the administrators over this section have power to delete the songs.
2) Do not add any folders. Keep all of the songs listed in the main area.
3) When you upload a song, you must also create a topic in the forum for that song. No account required. Instructions are below.
4) No off-topic posts in the discussion forum. At this point, this is just a song suggestion board... not a full, all-out discussion board.
5) If a song that you added was deleted and you don't know why, please do not try to find out using this discussion forum.
As stated above, only administrators have the power to delete songs. Ask Steve Williams in person about your concerns.
INSTRUCTIONS
Click on the name of the song that you want to listen to/download. It will ask you to Open or Save.
Click Open to just listen to the song. It will have to load the song onto your computer and will start playing when finished.
Click Save to download the song onto your computer to keep it.
You need to have the song on your computer.
Click the Browse... button in the song section.
Browse for the song on your computer, select it, and click Open in the Browse window.
You can verify that you selected the song by seeing the file path in the window next to Browse...
Click the Upload button (the box with the green plus on it.)
Give time for the song to upload. The bigger the song, the longer it will take. It can take anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes.
When the song is finished uploading, the page will reload.
You can verify that the song uploaded successfully by seeing it in the song list.
It can now be listened to or downloaded by anyone on this page.
Now, you need to add a topic in the discussion forum for the song you just uploaded. That way, people can discuss the potential song.
Go down to the forum section of the page. Click NEW TOPIC to create a topic for your new song.
NOTE: If you are adding multiple songs at one time, create a topic for each song, NOT one for all.
Fill in the fields for the topic like it shows in the picture below.
When finished entering info, click Submit.
After you click Submit, it will show you your new topic. This is all you are required to do. You can stop here if you want.
To return to the topic list to see all songs, click Return to Song Requests.
To add comments or see the discussion on any song, click on the SONG NAME - SONG ARTIST.
On the new page, you will see the current comments for that song. To add a comment, click POST REPLY.
Follow the instructions above for creating a new song topic to fill out the reply comment fields.
