Victory Church - Fiji - Pastors Steven and Pratishma Kissun

Located in the capitol city of Suva, Victory Church - Fiji celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2010. Pastor Steven started the church on June 14th, 2000 with just 7 members. Since that time it has grown to more than 350, with a thriving youth and children’s ministry. Steven and Pratishma have a deep love for God and a passion to see the mostly-Hindu, Indian population of Fiji come to know Jesus Christ. They have been married 17 years and have two daughters.

Victory Church - Fiji, has reached out to the Indian population there. Most of these Indians are descendants of indentured servants that were brought by the British to the islands. The Indian population makes up almost half of the entire Fijian population, but only 2% are Christian. The church however is about half ex-Hindu. The congregation is diverse, multiracial and multiethnic. Because of the widespread poverty, few own cars, so the church also has an active bus ministry.

Pastor Steven has also planted two more Victory Churches in Fiji—one in Suva and another on another island. His vision includes a Campus for Christ in Fiji, where he can continue to disciple his congregation and reach out to the lost. God is moving!
